It is of great significance to commemorate Marx, the founder of Marxism, on the 200th anniversary of his birth. The greatest theoretical contribution of Marx throughout his lifetime is his ＂two great discoveries＂ and ＂one scientific conclusion＂. Marxism, as a communist theory, is epoch-making, which, upon its initiation, swept rapidly across the world and created unprecedented impact. It wakened the working class in Western Europe, and also brought light of hope for backward countries like Russia and China, and guided them to embark on the road to socialism through democratic revolutions, under the leadership of the political parties of the working class. For some reasons, its influence and socialist movements have undergone twists and turns. However, the decline of Western countries and the rise of Chinese path signal its recovery from the predicament. The historic facts and the present practical experience prove that the basic theory of Marxism is scientific and the name of its creator will be engraved in the annals of scientific history forever.
