摘要
本研究基于230篇CSSCI期刊《语言文字应用》论文摘要英译投稿版和审校版自建语料库,对比两个译本库学术语块及其与本族语学者语块的特征差异。研究发现:(1)与本族语学者相比,两个译本均显著少用研究导向语块。审校版较投稿版少用与原文不对应或机械对应的直译语块,避免随意套用或自创语块。(2)两个译本的文本导向语块均接近本族语学者语块特点。审校版中话题引入功能、转接功能和限定功能等子范畴语块较投稿版显著增加,译文语篇的衔接连贯性更强。(3)与本族语学者相比,两个译本均显著多用参与者导向语块。审校版高频使用隐藏主体结构,译文语篇的客观性和互动性较投稿版明显增强。但两个译本均较少使用生命主体结构,且语块表述的灵活性不足。
Based on the self-established corpora of submitted and revised English translations of 230 abstracts in a CSSCI Journal, Applied Language and Chinese Character Studies, this article compares the differences of lexical bundles used in the two translated versions, and by Chinese and native English scholars. The results show that: (1) research-oriented bundles in the two translated versions are used far less frequently than those used by native speakers. The revised version decreases the literally translated bundles that are inconsistent with the original meaning or are redundant, avoiding casual use or casual creation of bundles. (2) text-oriented bundles in the two translated versions are close in frequency compared to those used by native speakers. Additions of topic introducing bundles, transition bundles and framing bundles are clearly seen in the revised version, which improve cohesion and coherence in the translated abstracts, and indicate greater awareness of bundle use. (3) participant-oriented bundles in the two translated versions are used far more frequently than those used by native speakers. Through more frequent uses of the hidden-subject structure, the revised version enhances the objectiveness and interactiveness of the translated abstracts. But the two translated versions seldom use the life-subject structure and are lacking in diversified expressions evolved from lexical bundles.
