The paper introduces an analysis and optimization method of preventive maintenance regulation for high speed EMU based on field data. Proper degradation model, lifetime distribution and the developing law of malfunction are confirmed by collecting and analyzing field data. The paper confirms the influences, reasons and potential results by analyzing failure mode as well as impact; similarly, proper maintenance strategy is determined by strategic analysis of preventive maintenance. According to the above results, overhaul period is confirmed, which realizes the analysis and optimization of preventive maintenance regulation.
