议榔制度在布依族、苗族的日常生活中具有极其重要的社会引导作用。在历史上,少数民族为了自身的生存与发展形成了这一公共组织管理制度,它发挥了巨大的社会效用,当前部分民族地区人沿用着这些古规古理,所以研究议榔制度对我们了解民族社区,认识民族组织管理文化、民族社会运行体系具有重要的作用。同时在以民族区域自治为主的过程中,有效地使用传统管理模式对我们加强中央对地方的管理具有重要的实际意义。

Yi Lang System（a discussion system） has the important role in Social guidance in Bu Yi and Miao people＇s daily life. In history, this system, which is a public management form, has come into being for seeking of minority people＇s own survival and development. It played a great social utility, and some current minority regions followed these ancient customs. Therefore, the study of Yi Lang System is of great importance to know about minority areas, to recognize the organization and management, and to study the operation system of minority society. At the same time, it has the important practical significance to strengthen the management of the central government to the minority areas by using the traditional management mode effectively in the process of giving priority to the minority autonomous.
