吕芋农与树人书院

Lv Yu-nong and Shu Ren Educational Institution

吕芋农是清末附贡生、民国桂系军阀、周恩来黄埔军校校友,解放前桂东南地区著名的学者、教育家。他一生功过是非,且留与后人评说。本文唯表其举平生之财力,建山庄、造"树人书院"、设藏书楼——兴学倡教育人的先达之举做。论文通过简述吕芋农的生平和介绍树人书院的整体布局,论述了树人书院的兴建、创办、构造以及兴衰的过程和影响。

Lv Yu-nong is a Gongsheng in the late Qing Dynasty, a warlord of Gui Fraction, and the alumnus of Zhou Enlai in Whampoa Military Academy. The merits and demerits of his whole life have been left to be commented by the later generations. But his contribution on the promotion of education cannot be neglected. This paper describes Lv Yu-nong＇s experience and the arrangement of Shu Ren educational institution, discusses its founding,construction, development and influence.
