"引文溯源"是为《本草纲目》引文量身而设的研究新法,该方法既可映衬体察李时珍"博极群书""翦繁去复"之伟绩,又可弥补《本草纲目》某些引而不确、注而不明的弊端。明确引文之源是缕清相关学术源流的基本条件。为了保证《本草纲目》原文高度存真与引文高度精确之间达到妥当平衡,要将校勘与溯源剥离开来,分别处理。具体的方法是,考核认定李时珍所引用的正确书目,依据《本草纲目》所引之文,逐一核准它们的出处与原始文字,以达到既不伤《本草纲目》之真又展示引文来源之目的,如此溯源所得的文字可供直接引用。

＂Citation Origin＂ is a new research method designed for the quotation of Compendium of Materia Medica (《本草纲目》）. This method can not only reflect on the feats of LI Shizhen＇s extensive reading and removing duplication and complication, but also make up the disadvantages of no citation origin and unclear quotation in Compendium of Materia Medica. Clarifying the source of citation is the basic conditions for identifying the relevant academic sources. In order to ensure a proper balance between the high degree of accuracy of the original text of Compendium of Materia Medica and the high accuracy of citations, the collation and traceability should be separated and processed separately. The specific method is that the assessment determines the correct bibliography cited by LI Shizhen. According to the text cited in Compendium of Materia Medica, the source and the original text are approved one by one in order to achieve the purpose of not only damaging the truth of the Compendium of Materia Medica, but also showing the source of citations. The text so traced is available for direct reference.
