Lu Xun is a great master of culture and a leading figure of cultural revolution in the history of modern Chinese literature, who is not only an outstanding litterateur, thinker and revolutionist, but also an excellent editor. Through all his life he had been diligently establishing and editing books and periodicals, which are large in number and superior in quality and thus left behind for posterity rich and valuable editorial thoughts and experience. Lu Xun held the opinion that there should be unwavering and clear-cut stand to start a publication for the sake of readers; he called for scientificity and authenticity when selecting articles, and preciseness and carefulness while reviewing. Besides, he paid special attention to the beauty of layout and design of books and periodicals. Therefore, learning and exploring Lu Xun＇s editorial thoughts and experience is of great realistic guiding significance for inheriting and carrying forward the fine tradition in China＇s editing and publishing, on the other side, it is also important for improving editing standards to be competent editors in the contemporary era so as to carry out socialist cultural construction in our country.
