There are special characteristics for the national virological laboratory platform qualification,including the significance of certification and accreditation of a national laboratory for viral disease research and disease prevention and control,as well as the issues involved in qualification accreditation,especially the relationship with disease control,identification and use of non-standard methods.Also the quality control,the difference between virological experiment and other experiments,and the collaboration with provincial centers for disease control need to be considered.This paper clarifies these issues through argumentation.
