北京冬奥会背景下大学生英语应用能力提高策略研究

On the Strategies of Improving College Students' English Application Ability Against the Backdrop of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games

作为世界性的综合体育赛事,冬奥会的成功申办大大提升了我国的国际影响力。英语作为世界通用语言之一,必将成为这场体育盛宴的主要交流工具。因文化水平和学习能力等方面的优势,目前的在校大学生将成为2022年北京冬奥会语言服务的主力军。然而受应试教育的影响,大学生的英语应用能力不容乐观。在分析大学生英语应用能力的现状及成因的基础上,有的放矢地提出相应策略,以提高其跨文化交际能力,助力冬奥会的成功举办。

As a worldwide comprehensive sports event, the successful bid of the Winter Olympics has greatly enhanced our international influence. As the international lingua franca, English will be the main communication tool for this sports feast. Due to the advantages of literacy level and learning ability, current college students will be the main force in the language service for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. However, influenced by the exam -oriented education system, college students＇ English application ability is weak. Based on the analysis of the causes of the current situation of college students＇ English application ability, some corresponding strategies are put forward to improve their intercultural communication ability and help fuel the success of the Winter Olympics.
