摘要
基于美国院校研究会官网的17所高校院校研究证书项目课程信息的研究结果显示,美国高校院校研究专业人员培养,在证书授予上,给学习合格者颁发培训证书或学位证书;在教育目标上,强调对程序性知识的运用与分析;在课程设置上,大多采用"必修+选修"套餐式结构;在课程内容上,重视方法、技术、政策与评估等实务;在教学方式上,广泛运用在线教学平台。这些对我国高校培养院校研究专业人员具有参考价值,对院校研究专业课程建设有启发意义。
This paper analyzes the ever-growing trend of professional training in this field in accordance with the curricular data collected from 17 graduate certificate programs in institutional researches.With a focus on the program structure and curriculum design,this paper offers an analysis of institutional research training programs provided by American colleges and universities from the following five perspectives:degrees granted,educational objectives,curriculum designs,course contents,and instructional methods.Despite the differences among those programs,we discovered that there are certain commonalities shared by those programs:1)non-degree or degree certificates are offered as qualifications;2)institutional research training often emphasizes the use and analysis of procedural knowledge;3)curriculum is comprised of compulsory and optional courses;4)courses focus on analytical methods(both quantitative and qualitative),educational policy evaluations,and program assessment;5)online instruction platforms are widely used;It is believed that this analysis can provide valuable implications for Chinese colleges and universities to train institutional research professionals,and especially for developing our professional courses in institutional researches.
