朱利安·巴恩斯国内研究述评

An Overview of Julian Barnes Studies in China

朱利安·巴恩斯是一位极具影响力的当代英国作家,因其大胆尝试多种实验创新手法,被誉为英国文坛的变色龙。中国学术界对他的关注大致始于20世纪90年代末,但无论从研究的深度和广度来看,中国巴恩斯研究都不能与其盛誉相匹配。根据中国学者对巴恩斯作品进行纵式结构的综合分析以及平行式结构的具体研究,即艺术性、文化性和单个作品研究三个方面考察巴恩斯在中国的研究现状,认为在今后的研究当中,既要重视对国外朱利安·巴恩斯研究成果的翻译和引进,还要加强自主研究及其对朱利安·巴恩斯创作复杂性的洞悉。

Julian Barnes enjoys a wide recognition in China. He is called a ＂ chameleon＂ in English literary circles for his bold attempts to make experiments and innovations. Chinese critics have read and approached him from various perspectives since the 1990s, offering a fairly rich Barnes scholarship. Based on Chinese scholars＇s comprehensive analysis and case study of Barnes＇s works, this paper explores Barnes＇s research from three aspects, namely, artistry, culture and single works. We should not only increase translation and introduction of Julian Barnes research achievements from abroad, but also improve our own research and study his works and thought from a variety of perspectives.
