Exploration of Approaches to Translation of Contemporary Chinese Literary Works

在中国文化走向世界的过程中,文学作品的译介作为文化的重要传播形式一直步履维艰,尤其是中国当代文学作品的英译在中国文化"走出去"过程中遭遇着各种困境。当前官方的文化外译项目主要还是"一厢情愿"的主动推销,并未真正进入西方市场。只有捋顺"自我"和"他者"的关系,在文化宣传政策、译者资助、出版发行等文化传播的各个环节采取有针对性的措施,选择合理的译介途径和传播方法,才能使中国文学作品真正走向世界。

As an important carrier of culture,translation of literary works is always difficult in the process of Chinese culture going to the world,and especially,translating contemporary Chinese literary works into English involves a sea of troubles. Current official translation projects are mainly voluntary promotion,failing to come into the western market. Only by figuring out the relationship between ＂self＂and ＂other＂,taking the countermeasures in terms of the steps of cultural communication such as cultural propaganda policy,fund for translators and publication and distribution,and choosing the reasonable approaches to translation and communication methods,can we make Chinese literary works truly go into the world.
