摘要
光纤谐振腔是谐振式光纤陀螺系统的核心单元,其品质因数直接影响陀螺的极限灵敏度。因受限于光在谐振腔内的损耗,其品质因数常常被制约。为解决这个问题,提出了利用掺铒光纤和980nm激光器实现对光在谐振腔内损耗的补偿。通过1∶9和1∶99耦合器制作了两个直径为10cm的谐振腔,实验测试结果显示在分光比为1∶99的耦合器下得到了最高品质因数为1.09×109的光纤谐振腔。相比于加入掺铒光纤之前的谐振腔,品质因数提高了7.4倍。
The fiber resonant resonator is a key device of resonant fiber optical gyro(RFOG) system,whose Q-factor influences the limited sensitivity of RFOG.Because of loss of the light in resonator,it is difficult to improve the Q-factor of resonator.To solve this problem,a compensation method is proposed by using erbium doped fiber and 980 nm laser for compensating the loss of light in resonator.Two resonant resonator with a diameter of 10 cm are fabricated by the couplers of coupling ratio of 1:9 and 1:99.The performances of the fabricated resonator with the coupling ratio of 1:99 are measured and the experimental Q-factor of 1.09 ×10^9.Compared with the resonator without the erbium doped fiber,the Q-factor of the proposed device is increased by 7.4 times.
