党的十九大对新时代我国社会主要矛盾作出了新的判断和表述,指出人民日益增长的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的发展之间的矛盾是新时代的主要矛盾。新时代社会主要矛盾转化是新发展、新成就基础上的人民生活新需要和发展中的新问题、发展得不够充分共同促成的。理解新矛盾重在把握矛盾的主体、主动方面,即新时代人民的美好生活需要。把握新时代人民美好生活需要要从新表现趋势、变化产生的原因、如何满足三个维度来分析。

The Nineteenth CPC National Congress made new judgments and statements on the major social contradictions in our country in the new era. It pointed out that in the new era the main contradiction of the Chinese society has evolved to be the contradiction between the people＇s ever-growing needs for a better life and unbalanced and inadequate development. The transformation of major contradictions of society in the new era is due to the people＇s new needs in life as a result of the new progress and new achievements and also due to the inadequate development and other new development problems. In understanding the new contradictions, people should focus on grasping the subject and initiative of the contradictions, that is, the people＇s need for a better life in the new era. To better grasp this, we need to analyze from the perspectives of the new trends, the causes of changes, and how to satisfy people＇s need.
