中国学者首次参加国际地质大会经过及影响

Research on China and the 13^(th) International Geological Congress

1922年,翁文灏出席了第13届国际地质大会,这也是中国地质学家首次参与国际地质学界活动。翁文灏不仅全程参与了相关学术活动,还被推举为万国地质学会副会长、评议会评议员等,参与了大会的组织领导工作,对大会做出了中国贡献。在接受当地记者专访时,翁文灏公开表达了中国对国际地质学界重大争议问题的态度和立场,让国际地质学界听到了中国声音。这次大会给中国地质科学带来了积极且重要的影响,推动了中国地质科学事业的发展,在中国地质学发展史上具有重要的价值与意义,也给刚刚起步的中国科学界带来极大的鼓舞和自信。

In 1922, Wong Wen-hao attended the 13th International Geological Congress, which was the first time Chinese geologists participated in the international geological circles. Wong not only participated in the relevant academic activities, but also was elected as the vice president of the Universal Geological Society, the Consultative Council, and so on, participated in the organization and leadership of the General Assembly made China contribution. In an interview with local reporters, Wong openly expressed China＇s attitude and position on the major issues of international geology, so that the international geological circle heard the Chinese voice. This Conference has brought the positive and important influence to the Chinese geology Science, has promoted the development of the Chinese geology Science cause, has the important value and the significance in the Chinese Geology development history, also has brought the great inspiration and the self-confidence to the Chinese scientific community which has just started.
