Discussion on the Setting of Chinese Medical Category in Chinese Library Classification(5th Edition)

《中国图书馆分类法》(第5版)中国医学类目体系在第4版的基础上做了增补新类、增强类目容纳性及划分深度等一系列修订,更具时代性、科学性和实用性,但仍存在着类名设置缺失、类目注释不合理、扩展子类列举不全面、类目设置缺乏逻辑性等问题,对相关文献归类产生了消极影响,应予以修订和完善。

The Chinese medical catalog system of Chinese Library Classification（5 th Edition）,which is based on a series of revisions of the 4 th edition in aspects of the supplement of new categories,and the enhancement of categories＇ tolerance and subdivision depth,has been more contemporary,scientific and practical. However,there are still some problems such as the lack of category name setting,the unreasonable category comments,the incomplete enumeration of extended subclasses,and the illogicality of category setting,etc.,which have a negative impact on the classification of related documents and should be revised and improved.
