摘要
本文基于2010~2015年中国重污染行业上市公司的样本,运用高阶理论,从"动机—能力—压力"三个维度研究了女性高管与环境绩效之间的关系。研究发现,女性高管能显著提升企业环境绩效;女性高管职位越高,对企业环境绩效的提升效果越明显;政府治理和媒体关注能显著增强女性高管与环境绩效的正相关关系。本文为高管特质与环境绩效的研究提供了新的视角,构建了女性高管对环境绩效影响的分析框架,丰富了环境管理会计和女性高管研究的文献,并为提升企业环境绩效的制度安排提供了经验证据支持。
Based on a sample of listed companies in Chinese heavily polluting industries during 2010-2015, this paper uses Upper Echelons Theory to study the relationship between female executives and environmental performance from three dimensions of motivation, ability and pressure. This study finds that female executives can significantly enhance the environmental performance of enterprises; the higher the position of female executives, the higher environmental performance of enterprises; government governance and media coverage can significantly enhance the positive correlation between female executives and environmental performance. Based on a new perspective, this paper constructs the influence mechanism of female executives on environmental performance, enriches the research of environmental management accounting and female executives, and provides empirical evidences for policies designed to improve the environmental performance of enterprises.
