Sox(Sry-like high-mobility groupbox)基因家族所编码的Sox蛋白是一类重要转录调控因子,在胚胎发育和肿瘤发生发展过程中发挥重要作用。胃肠恶性肿瘤中Sox基因的表达异常。Sox参与调控胃肠恶性肿瘤细胞的增殖、侵袭和迁移等功能,在胃肠恶性肿瘤的发生发展过程中发挥重要作用。

Sox protein encoded by the Sox（ Sry-like high-mobility group box） gene family is an important class of transcriptional regulators and plays an important role in the development of embryo and the development of tumor.
