The ＂Foundation of Computer Software Technology＂ is a basic course for college students of non computer specialty. It has great significance to the study, work and life of students. Because of its large span, wide contents and strong practicality, the teaching and learning process are very difficult. By analyzing the characteristics of students learning way and the traditional teaching methods, some effective teaching and learning approaches are developed. Good results are achieved in practical teaching and learning by these methods.
