一群去专业化的人——斜杠青年的事业发展研究

A Group of Deprofessionalized Individuals-Research on the Career Development of Slash-Youth

"斜杠青年"的概念在2016年初被引入中国,并影响了数十万年轻人从事多重职业。然而随着现代社会的发展,各行各业的分工越来越细化,职业专业化程度越来越高。在这种专业化的背景下,斜杠青年这种去专业化的职业模式为何能迅速发展的问题亟待研究。本文采用扎根理论的方法 ,对不同地区、不同年龄段的38位工作者进行深入访谈,对斜杠青年这一群体的动因、特征、发展进行探索性研究。研究发现斜杠青年渴望实现自身价值,渴望多姿多彩的生活,并且具备强项是所在专业的边缘技能、技能精进是工作的主要目标两大特征,未来事业发展方向是以技能创业。本文认为,斜杠青年这类去专业化的人群,在企业中不是核心人员,但不可缺少,因此希望日后管理研究能够重视斜杠青年,并且寻求对这类人群的管理方法。

The concept of slash-youth was introduced to China in 2016, and it has influenced the career tracks of tens of thousands of youths. Nevertheless, as a society becomes more developed, work tends to become more specialized, and job tends to be more professionalized. Thus, it is necessary for us to investigate the reasons for why such deprofessionalized career models as slash-youth has gained its popularity in the market. Adopting a grounded theory approach, we interviewed 38 employees from different geographical regions and age groups to investigate the motivations, characteristics, and career track of slash-youths. We found that slash-youths desired to realize their own values and to have a meaningful life. They tend to be skilled in the boundary skills of their profession, and their main goal for working is to master their skills. In addition, the future career goal of many slash-youths is to start their own business with their mastered skill. We believe that such deprofessionalized individuals are essential to an organization although they tend not belong to its core workforce. We hope that future management research can give more emphases to slash-youth, and search for the effective means to manage them.
