The author systematically analyzes and summarizes the 30 year supervision results of coal geological engineering,summarizes effective control methods of the supervision work. Combining with coal geological engineering supervision standards,the core and key points of coal geological engineering supervision and control are offered,that is,the main points of control is type-classification（quality, investment, progress, safety）, party-classification（construction party,supervisor party,investing party）,and stage-classification（before,during,afterwards）. And it is proposed that the core of coal geological engineering control is the application of new technologies and new processes. The practical results show that the control method is effective.
