The article sums up progress in development of national standard ＂Test method for building sealants used in assembled structure＂. During the development many things were taken into consideration, including referring to European standards, technical current situation in China, a number of verification tests and many factors in use of structural sealants. Therefore, the standard would provide reliable and scientific test method for this product and fill in the gap in the test of this kind.
