Speeding the Internationalization Process of RMB in Regions along "the Belt and the Road" through Combination of Guiding Principles and Practical Work

人民币入篮是对中国经济实力的证明,国际化是人民币的必然选择。人民币的国际话语权重和国际化规模、中国资本市场和资金市场发展等是人民币在"一带一路"区域加速国际化进程的基础。中国制造和跨境电子支付是提升人民币国际化品质的突破口和加速器,二者的协同发展产生的积极效应(如提升中国制造附加值等)进一步坚固人民币国际化的根基,形成良性循环。而这需要规范跨境电子支付、提升中国制造品质、明确人民币通行标准、提高经济抗风险能力、推行支付币种自由选择制等介质的充分参与。

RMB＇s entry into the basket is a proof of power of Chinese economy, and internationaliza- tion of RMB is inevitable. The international discourse weight and internationalized scale of RMB, the development of Chinese capital market and fund market are the foundation to speed the international- ized process of RMB in regions along ＂the Belt and the Road＂. Chinese manufacture and cross-border online payment are the break- through and accelerator to enhance the internationalized quality of RMB. The coordinate development of the two has positive effects （for example, enhancing the added value of Chinese manufacture）, can further consolidate the foundation of RMB internationalization and form a healthy circulation. These will be achieved with all the following full participation, standardi- zing cross- border online payment, strengthening the quality of Chinese manufacture, clarifying the standard of RMB circulation, enhancing risk resistance capacity of economy, implementing free choice of payment currency, etc.
