The dangers of toxic and harmful substances that might be remained in upholstered furniture had also attracted people＇s attention. Various countries had enacted legislation to strengthen the supervision of the residual toxic and hazardous substances in upholstered furniture. The sources,hazards and analytical methods of various chemical residues that might existed in upholstered furniture were discussed in the paper.
