摘要
体裁分析法源于不同层次的语言教学发展,现在它不仅研究学术或专业情境下的语言行为,更对如何用语言实现不同的社会交际目的感兴趣。国际商务英语受不同社会文化和商务交际目的的制约,它的语言和文本选择在微观和宏观结构上会呈现规约性(convention)和动态性。在国际商务英语教学中,用传统的语言教学方法很难达到商务英语所要求的教学效果。本文以廖瑛所著《国际商务英语:商务理论、语言与实践》一书为例,从语码知识、体裁知识、认知结构、类属知识等方面详细解释、分析和讨论了如何应用体裁分析指导商务英语教学的方法,并概括归纳出体裁分析对商务英语教学研究和实践的四点启示。
Genre analysis is motivated by applied linguistic concerns,especially language teaching at various levels. It shows a genuine interest in the use of language to achieve communicative goals and gives a dynamic explanation of the way expert users of language manipulate generic conventions to achieve complex goals. The paper first will highlight some of the major characteristics of the genre theory; then it will illustrate and discuss a genre-based approach to Business English teaching by taking examples from a course book entitled International Business English: Business Theories and Practices for specific professional contexts. Finally,the author summarizes the implications for Business English teaching and practices.
