医学文明在丝路上通过贸易通商、使节往来、文献流布、医事制度、医学教育、宗教传播与民族迁移等各种途径和方式进行交汇,东西方医学互相学习和借鉴,共同进步和发展。这种医学文明的互动融通主要体现在医学融合著作的出现、诊疗技术和药物方剂的运用等方面。但是对于丝路医学文明互动融通的成效要基于资料予以实事求是地评价,尤其是书籍文献传播流布较少,且没有构建起域外汉字文化圈,导致其广度和深度以及影响的深远性皆与东亚医学文明的融通不可同日而语。

Therefore its depth, width and influence are far less than that of east Asia medical civilization.
