《元和郡县图志》书名考略

《元和郡县图志》为唐代李吉甫撰写,是现存最早的地理总志。该书在历代文献记载中,名称及卷数的著录比较混乱,出现了《元和州县郡国图》、《元和郡国图》、《元和郡县志》等相近名称和三十卷、四十卷及五十四卷的卷数差异。一方面可能由于古人传抄错误,致使名称混乱;另一方面,文献记载的"图"、"志"并非同一部《元和郡县图志》,可能为不同内容和装帧的书籍,并且由唐入宋,几经战乱,地图失传,因此在宋元以后,仅以文字版的《元和郡县志》流传。
