单频布里渊光纤激光器研究进展

摘要 随着相干光通信/传感等技术的迅速发展,系统对于光源的单频性能提出越来越高的要求。基于光纤中受激布里渊散射的布里渊光纤激光器(Brillouin fiber lasers,BFLs)以其独特的布里渊频移特性和超窄线宽特性(Hz量级)受到广泛的研究关注。自1976年首台布里渊光纤激光器出现至今,历经四十年的发展,单频布里渊光纤激光器取得了一系列进展。本文回顾了单频布里渊光纤激光器的研究历史与发展现状,介绍了紧凑型布里渊掺铒光纤激光器的研究现状,并对比了其它几种传统超窄线宽激光器,讨论了其在干涉型光纤传感中的应用优势。 With the rapid development of coherent optical communication and sensing techniques, it demands higher requirements of single frequency laser sources. Brillouin fiber lasers (BFLs), based on stimulated Brillouin scattering in optical fibers, attract wide interests due to the unique Brillouin-frequency shift output and ultra-narrow-linewidth emission. Single-frequency BFLs have much developed for over 40 years since the first BFL appeared in 1976. This paper looks back the history and progress of BFLs, and introduces the current state of compact Brillouin/erbium fiber lasers (BEFLs). Some traditional narrow-linewidth lasers are compared, and the applications of BEFLs in interferometric fiber sensors are dscussed.
