摘要 In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Europeans arrived at China's coastal ports. Among the Chinese paintings, what attracted them were images of ordinary people in folk paintings and prints, instead of those paintings that portrayed literati and landscapes. From a different cultural perspective, they saw the daily life of the Chinese depicted in the Gusu prints.
