Historical Evolution,Theoretical Propositions and Struggle in Practice of the World Peace Council

世界和平理事会是世界和平运动的重要推动力量,是一个反帝国主义,倡导普遍裁军、民主、独立、和平共处的国际群众运动组织。自1950年成立以来,世界和平理事会经历了迅速发展期(1951—1957年)、渐入低谷期(1958—1991年)和缓慢恢复期(1992年至今)三个阶段。冷战结束后,世界和平理事会进入了发展的新阶段,取得了明显的进展。作为国际和平组织,世界和平理事会数十年来形成了反对帝国主义的理论,揭露帝国主义的侵略本质,积极进行关于抵抗帝国主义政治、军事、经济、意识形态等一切形式的攻击的理论探索。同时,世界和平理事会开展了各种反帝实践活动,如组织国际会议,探讨解决世界困境的方案,为抗议帝国主义的侵略而发起示威游行活动,举行各种重大事件的纪念活动等。在这些争取和平的反帝运动中,世界和平理事会为促进世界和平与稳定作出了贡献。

The World Peace Council is an important driving force for the world peace movement.It is an anti-imperialist group that advocates universal disarmament,democracy,independence and peaceful co-existence.Since its establishment in 1950,the World Peace Council has experienced three stages of rapid development（1951—1956）,gradual decline（1958—1991）and slow recovery（1992—present）.After the Cold War,the World Peace Council has entered a new phase of development and made notable progress. As an international organization for peace,the World Peace Council has formed a theory of opposing imperialism,exposing the essence of aggression of imperialism and actively conducting theoretical exploration on all forms of attacks against imperialism＇s politics,military affairs,economy and ideology.At the same time,the World Peace Council has conducted various antiimperialist activities,organized international conferences,explored solutions to the world＇s predicament,launched demonstrations and protests to protest imperialist aggression and held commemorative activities of major events.In these anti-imperialist campaigns for peace,the World Peace Council contributes to the promotion of world peace and stability.
