Non-government Organizations' Relief to Overseas Chinese In Guangdong during the Pacific War

太平洋战争爆发后,随着日军对香港、南洋等地的占领以及对华侨的迫害,大批华侨沦为难侨,被迫返国。在广东地区,除了政府积极救济难侨外,民间力量也积极参与对难侨的救助。民间力量对难侨的救助既配合了政府的救侨活动,稳定了社会,又增加了近代中国救济事业的新内容。

After the outbreak of the Pacific War,Japan occupied Hong Kong and parts of Southeast Asian countries.Under severe persecution,a large number of overseas Chinese were forced to return to China's Mainland from occupant areas. In Guangdong some non-government organizations contributed a lot in aiding the overseas Chinese,which proved to be comparatively helpful to the local government and added new stories to the accomplishments in charity and relief of modern China.
