On the early 1940 s, Feng Zhi created the collection of sonnets, and due to lack of fierce battle scenes and inspiring impassioned words, it, as is considered by the researchers, keeps distance from the Times to form an estrangement and has a distinctive feature. The Collection of Sonnets explores the existence of individuals, and linking up the spirit of modernist poetry with the reality of China＇s Anti-Japanese War, produces a different expression from the prevailing discourse at the time. Thus, it is of special epoch-making significance.
