Mythology and Modernity

神话思维可以作为对现代性的创新回应,一种在"世俗时代"保持超验的策略。但是,神话学更多地是为现代性中的超验创造可能而不是反对它,因为神话可以简单定义为不被经验验证的话语范畴,神话思维以一种被认为与现代理性相容而非对立的方式表达精神驱动。

Mythological thinking can be used as an innovative response to modernity,and a strategy to maintain transcendence in the＂Secular Age＂.However,mythology is more likely to create the possibility of transcendence in modernity than to oppose it.Because mythology can be simply defined as a discourse category that is not verified by experience,mythological thinking expresses spiritual drive in a way that is considered to be compatible with modern reason rather than antagonistic.
