试论袁嘉谷教育思想的形成

On Yuan Jiagu's Education Idea

云南历史上唯一的特科状元袁嘉谷先生,平素爱国爱乡,为实现其达则兼济天下之大志,且为之奋斗了一生,尤其袁嘉谷所践行的是一条教育救国、兴国之路。文章尝试从袁嘉谷各个时期的兴学、办学的经历进行深入研究,内容涉及他及第之前、考察日本、供职学部、浙江提学使以及晚年国学教授等诸多方面,以此来探讨袁嘉谷的教育思想的精髓,以及他的一生所追求——教育救国、兴国的心路历程。

Yuan jiagu was the number one scholar in the history of Yunnan province. In his extraordinary life, he devoted all his efforts i to achieve the country’s prosperity—, he tried to save the country by education. And this paper introduces the experience in every period about his achievements in developing the education, which including running schools, investigating Japan, serving the Imperial Education Ministry, Zhejiang commissioner of education and teaching in his old age.
