Countless political forces have been forming and conflicting with each other since the late Edo period. Their interactions constitute a dangerous chain, and even form a vicious circle in which opposites lead to greater antagonism and crises bring greater crisis. With the expansion of opposites, people went so far as to say that "desperate lies" and "impudently lies", formed a lie history of the Meiji era. The Meiji people were more sensitive than us to the crisis caused by this chain of interactions. This article will be based on the political novels of the Meiji period and the famous definitive Sohou Tokutomi as clues to discuss the problem and to elucidate its origins. And furthermore, to reconsider the postwar task in Japan.
