对私人信札的过分依赖,容易产生判断上的失误,因而不能过分局限于从书信集来对周汝昌"知人论学",而是要考察周汝昌与其他人交往的文字"留痕",以及有关周汝昌的其他资料。周汝昌和所谓"学术共同体"的纷争,其根源在于当艺术成为学术时产生的"张力"。

The overreliance on the private letters easily produces errors in judgment,so it is confined to criticize ZHOU Ruchang only from his letters with others. To know ZHOU Ruchang well,we＇d better study his literal trace with others as well as other concerned materials. The dispute between ZHOU Ruchang and the socalled ＂academic community＂is rooted in the ＂tension＂that arises when the art becomes the academics.
