Resign themselves to Adversity:Inter-generational Exploitation and Crisis of Providing for the Aged in Rural Areas

农村家庭代际关系的权利——义务变得失衡。农民价值观念的变迁、城市对农村的剥削、传统乡规民约的解体与国家对基层控制的弱化,病态的家庭教育和失衡的性别比例共同形塑了代际剥削。子代秉承着理性工具对父辈存在经济、身体、精神三重剥削。代际剥削使家庭失去养老基础,而社会化养老服务体系不健全,农村老人收入水平低又进一步挤压养老空间。应该发展农村经济、签订养老协议、健全养老服务、加强基层法治来化解农村养老危机。

The rights-obligations of inter-generational relationships in rural family become unbalanced.The changes of peasants’ values,the cities exploitation of rural areas,the disintegration of traditional local rules and government’s weakening of grassroots control in rural areas,the problematic family education for children and the unbalanced sex ratio co-shape inter-generational exploitation.The next generation upholds rational tools to exploit their parents on the economic level,at the physical level and in the spiritual level.Inter-generational exploitation makes the family lose its base of providing for the aged,not perfect social pension service system and low income levels for rural elderly squeeze the space of providing for the aged in rural areas further.It is necessary to take measures to resolve the crisis of providing for the aged,whichincludes developing the rural economy,signing a agreement on providing for the aged in rural areas,making the old service complete and strengthening the grassroots rule of law.
