百年街道的复兴——广州西堤街道规划设计实践与思考

REVITALIZATION OF THE CENTURY-OLD STREET： PRACTICE AND REFLECTIONS ON PLANNING AND DESIGN OF XIDI IN GUANGZHOU

城市街道是城市中重要的公共空间，以往设计常常重“道”轻“街”，重车轻人。广州西堤街道规划设计实践中，从人的体验与需求出发，梳理街道规划设计需要处理的六大关系，遵循“公平路权、人本精神、场所精神、工匠精神”，提出“明确路权、以人为本；活化空间、意象重塑；品质设施、精细施工”的设计策略，采用功能分区、道路变截面、小转弯半径、多杆合一等技术手段，复兴百年街道。设计实践提升了城市品质，为广州城市空间品质的升级提供了参考。

City streets are an important part of the public space in a city. In the past, the design of a city has always emphasized ＂street＂ over ＂road＂, and vehicles over people. Based on the users＇ experiences and demand, the design of Xidi Street clarifies the six primary relationships that need to be handled in the street planning and design. Following the principles of ＂fair road right, humanistic spirit, site spirit, and craftsman spirit＂, the design puts forward the design strategy of ＂making clear the road right and being people-oriented; vitalizing the space and recreating the image; and quality facility and refined implementation＂. The design adopts the technological means including functional zoning, road being transformed to sections, small radius of turning, and integration of multiple poles to revitalize the century street. The design effectively promotes the city quality and provides references for the further improvement of urban space in Guangzhou.
