National awards and grants are important decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for implementing the strategy of invigorating China through science and education, accelerating personnel training and building a harmonious socialist society. It is a good policy for the party to benefit the people. This paper briefly introduces the types and characteristics of China＇s national scholarships, analyse factors hindering the national scholarships to have a positive impact for students. It propose some measures on how to make national scholarships a positive impact to help students enhance self - confidence, encourage them to become all - round development of so- ciety, a man of tremendous promise.
