With the awareness of energy saving and environmental protection enhancing, using natural refrigerant CO2 as the refrigerant provides many advantages compared with the traditional refrigerant. In this research, the technological development, global distribution and important applicants of the CO2-based compression refrigeration patent are reviewed, which is helpful to promote the application and improvement of this technology.
