The Distinctive Features of Xi Jinping Thought on Struggling Against the Historical Nihilism

党的十八大以来,习近平发表系列反对历史虚无主义的论述,呈现如下特色:一是着眼于开展"伟大斗争",强调反对历史虚无主义应发扬斗争精神;二是注重运用唯物辩证法分析新时期党史国史领域中的重大是非问题,批驳历史虚无主义观点;三是将反对历史虚无主义与坚定党的历史自信结合起来,丰富和充实了反对历史虚无主义的思想资源,具有深厚的时代意蕴。这些特色是传承党的优良政治传统、思想品格的结果,同时也体现了新时代引领社会思潮、做好意识形态工作的内在规律。

Since the 18 th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping has issued a series of statements against historical nihilism, which show the major features as follows: First of all, focus on carrying out the "great struggle",and emphasizecarrying forwardthe fighting spirit while opposing historical nihilism; Second, emphasize the application of materialist dialectics to analyse the major issues in the field of CPC's history and National history in the new era; Third, by combining the opposition to historical nihilism with strengthening CPC's historical self-confidence, with a profound sense of the times, enrich the ideological resources against historical nihilism. All the features mentioned above are the result of inheriting the CPC's fine political tradition and thinking characters. Meanwhile, they reflect the internal law of guiding social thoughts and doing ideological work well in the new era.
