From March 8 to 10, 1938, Dr. Wilson of University of Nanking Hospital went to Qixia Mountain for vacation with some surgical instruments and medical materials. He actually made a mobile medical treatment. He witnessed the miserable scene of Qixia Mountain after the massacre, and all that he saw and heard verified the previous accounts of the Japanese soldiers’ atrocities by Chinese and foreigners. Dr. Wilson went to the makeshift hospital for refugees at Jiangnan cement factory, and provided medical advice for refugees at Qixia Temple. Together with Wilson, Bernhard Arp Sindberg provided another humanitarian assistance for refugees at Qixia Mountain before leaving Nanjing.
