Wang Zhen Nong Shu ·Shou Shi Tu(王祯农书·授时图)and the Twenty-four Solar Terms

元代农学家王祯首创的《授时图》继承了《夏小正》《礼记·月令》中的有关农业生产的整体系统思想,它以图画的形式,体现了古代传统农业的"天、地、人、稼"合一的"四才观"。《授时图》突出传统的"二十四节气"的核心地位,以之定月份定季节,使节气与相应的农事安排有机结合,体现了王祯对官方所颁行历法的变通,由此做到"授时历每岁一新,《授时图》常行不易",在农业生产、生活上具有实用性和较强的指导意义。

Wang zhen, agriculturalist of Yuan Dynasty,inherited the ideas regarding the overall system of agricultural production in Xiaxiaozbeng（夏小正）and Lift＂ Yueling（礼记·月令）.He pioneered the Sbou Shi Tu （授时图）,which is flexible and practical.This picture combined weather, phenology and other environ- mental factors with the farming arrangements organically, reflecting the ancient traditional agricuhure＂Sicai views＂. It always has important guiding significance in the agricultural production and life from the past to the present.
