On Lai Zhide's Poems about Wanzhou

明代理学家、易学家来知德客居万县(今万州)求溪山中,潜心钻研《易经》,在撰写《周易集注》之余,还创作了大量诗文。来氏万州诗文卓犖瑰奇,风格独异,表现了以山川风物为精神象征的求溪情结;标举以破进、退、富、贵、生、死、贫、贱"八关"为目标的人生观和价值观;张扬"与上帝同寿""与李白同祀"的"狂者"人格文魄;独创虚拟世界中的传奇故事和寓言体,表达其标新立异、独树一帜的文学与美学追求,显现其高视阔步、睥睨古今的文化品味和傲岸性格。

Lai Zhide, a Neo-Confucianist and scholar of The Book of Change in the Ming dynasty, once lived in the Qiu Xi Mountain （now in Wanzhou district）. He wrote a series of poems to show his values as he devoted himself in the research of The Book of Change and wrote the Notes Collection of Zhou ~i. Those poems were mainly on the topic of Qiu Xi complex with a unique style, which showed his believing in the eight difficulties of life, a non-real world and allegory writing. It is a realization of Lai＇s high prospective on Wanzhou.
