Objective Children in different age groups of secondary hypertension were analyzed for plasma renin activity ( plasma renin activity, PRA), angiotensinⅡ ( A Ⅱ), aldosterone (ALD) and the compared for level difference of supine and upright aldosterone. Methods We collected laboratory test of 100 cases of children with secondary hypertension according to different age from April 2016 to April 2017 in Beijing CIC Clinical, then divided them into preschool group (1-7 year old) and school age group (8-14 years old). For both groups, we took blood samples in a supine position and a standing position, and measured the two types of position by means of RIA for statistical analysis of PRA, angiotensin Ⅱ, and aldosterone levels. Results For preschool group (1-7 years old) patients, the PRA, A Ⅱ, ALD were higher than those of school-age (8-14 years old) patients ( P 〈 0.05 ). For children supine patients with secondary hypertension the PRA, A Ⅱ, ALD were lower than patients with secondary hypertension standing child (P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion Children with secondary hypertension with lying upright positions can have PRA, A Ⅱ, ALD differently, which can guide secondary hypertension clinical treatment, lead to the better control of cardiovascular disease.
