回到发生现场与中国大众文化研究的本土化——以邓丽君流行歌曲为个案的研究 被引量:31

摘要 本土化的大众文化理论和方法的建构,需要转向当代中国大众文化的历史语境与发生现场,对之进行发生学的研究,这是建构中国本土化大众文化研究的重要路径。中国大众文化的发生学研究可以通过五个关键词串联起来:大众文化的发生、邓丽君、新启蒙、文化研究的本土化、粤港澳大湾区。中国当代大众文化是改革开放和社会转型的伴生物和有机组成部分,在这个意义上,我们不能只是在审美的层次谈论和评价邓丽君及其代表的流行文化,更要从政治文化、社会心理角度把握其独特价值与流行原因。邓丽君流行歌曲之所以在一定时期和一定范围内能产生巨大的启蒙效应,不仅仅是其本身的审美质素使然,还要考虑到接受者所处的社会文化场域及其文化心理诉求,把握这个诉求的前提是回到历史现场。粤港澳地区是当代中国大众文化的前沿和发生地,新时期最早的大众文化在这里发生的事实,决定了此地最适合进行文化研究本土化实践,并在此基础上提炼出一套不同于西方,特别是不同于法兰克福学派的理论和方法。回到历史现场的中国大众文化发生学研究,是对机械搬用西方文化研究的理论方法与价值取向的全方位质疑和超越,也是本土化、在地化的中国大众文化研究范式建构的前提。 To construct a localized popular cultural theory and methodology, we need to trace the beginning of contemporary Chinese popular culture by turning to its historical context and scene of genesis. A genetic approacn to Chinese popular culture could be centered around five keywords: the genesis of popular culture,Teresa Teng, new enlightenment, the localization of cultural studies, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Since contemporary Chinese popular culture is a concomitant and integral componoent of economic reform and social transformations, instead of discussing Teresa Teng and the type of popular culture she represented at a purely aesthetic level, we should understand its unique value and causes of popularity from a political, cultural, and socio-psychological perspective. The tremendous enlightening effect Teresa Teng's songs nad in a certain time period and locale derives not only from their aesthetic apperals but from the socio-cultural envinronment and time perisychologicale demands of the audience.As the frontier of contemporary Chinese popular culture and the site where it first emerged, the Greater Bay Area is an ideal place to practice the localization of cultural studies and develop a set of theory and methodology that is different from Western approaches, the Frankfurt School, in particular. Challenging and transcending any blind copy of Western cultural studies, a genetic approach that emphasizes the return to the historical scene will serve as the preconditon of a localized research paradigm for Chinese popular culture studies.
