The “Starvation” of Intellectuals: Life Challenges of the Intellectuals Represented by Zhang Yonglin

以张贤亮系列小说人物章永璘为切入视角,论述知识分子群体是如何在文本中对建国初期进行构建和追忆的,以此探求中国当代知识群体的思维特征。章永璘这一系列人物的建构来源于作者"致命"的生活体验,这一不可复制的经历构成了一代知识者无法规避的生命底色;而由此催生的知识分子叙事困境造就了章永璘系列人物的出现,并因此形成的叙事特征是论文第二部分的论述重点;"第二种忠诚"既构成了这代知识分子的精神内质,又成了他们书写历史和人性的方式。

The paper,taking Zhang Yonglin—the hero in Zhang Xianliang’s novel series as the perspective,discusses how the intellectual group construct and recall the early days of New China in the text in order to explore the thinking characteristics of the contemporary Chinese intellectual group.The paper first points out that the construction of the character—Zhang Yonglin originates from the author's"fatal"life experience and this irreproducible experience constitutes an unavoidable life background for a generation of intellectuals.The second part of the paper focuses on discussing the narrative feature,i.e.,the resulting intellectual narrative dilemma brings about the emergence of Zhang Yonglin.On the basis of the above discussion,the paper finally concludes that"a second kind of loyalty"not only constitutes the spiritual substance of this generation of intellectuals,but also becomes their way of writing history and humanity.
