Operation and Implementation of RMB Internationalization under the "Belt and Road" Initiative

人民币国际化作为我国货币宏观调控政策中的一项中长期战略,其自身能否实现稳定有序的发展取决于国内外宏观经济走势、国际金融市场发展以及人民币在全球贸易结算中的制度安排。在"一带一路"倡议下推进人民币国际化需要遵守"共同繁荣"的政治秩序、"竞合互动"的区域秩序与"互惠发展"的经济秩序。在此基础上,通过实施以"推动金融服务国际化"为先导、以"创新开发性金融和人民币投融资项目"为支撑、以"加强风险识别和预警"为保障的人民币国际化路径,能够增强人民币在国际货币体系中的影响力与抗风险能力,进而与"一带一路"倡议形成"战略默契",促进我国从"金融大国"向"金融强国"方向转型。

The RMB internationalization is a medium and long-term strategy in China＇s monetary macro-control policy. Whether it can achieve stable and orderly development depends on macroeconomic trends at home and abroad, the development of international financial markets, and the institutional arrangement concerning RMB settlement in global trade. In the ＂Belt and Road＂ initiative, risks and opportunities coexist for RMB internationalization. To promote the RMB internationalization under the Belt and Road initiative, we need to observe the ＂common prosperity＂ political order, ＂competitive interaction＂ regional order, and the ＂mutually beneficial development＂ economic order. On this basis, a RMB internationalization path that starts with the internationalization of financial services, is supported by ＂innovating development finance and RMB investment and financing projects＂ and relies on ＂enhancing risk identification and early warning＂ is able to increase RMB＇s influence and anti-risk capability in the international currency system, form a ＂strategic tacit understanding＂ with the ＂Belt and Road＂ initiative, and help it to gradually avoid the damage of the US dollar system and transform China from a ＂financially large nation＂ to a ＂financially strong nation＂.
