摘要
李约瑟1969年完成的《文明的滴定》在2016年有了首个简体中文译本。文章通过对比之前潘吉星等人的选译本,评析了中译本若干译词的问题,分析了误译的原因。若要准确译介《文明的滴定》,应该了解李约瑟描述中国古代科技文明的一些特定用语,回归原有的语境。
In 2016,Joseph Needham’s The Grand Titration completed in 1969 was translated into its first simplified Chinese version. By comparing the selected translation versions by Pan Jixing and others,the paper analyses some wrong words translation and discusses their reasons. It is essential to know some specific terms used by Joseph Needham on ancient Chinese science and technology and to place them under the original context when one wants to translate The Grand Titration accurately.
