In recent years, hand-painted work has received a great deal of attention. Hand-painted work cannot only express the author＇s emotional attitude better, but also have an important role in graphic design. Furthermore, its application in the design of book binding has a vital influence on its commercial value. Based on this and fast development of the design industry, enhancing the application value of hand-painted work should not only focus on their commercial value but ignore the promotion of the new way of thinking. This article analyzes the development background briefly and discusses hand-painted work＇s application path in book binding to provide some constructive ideas for researchers and practitioners.
